Weekly orchestra for string players
Whether you are an experienced player ready for some exciting performance opportunities or if you have played before and would like to get back to playing again this is for you.
The Orchestra meets weekly to work on programmes of music from Baroque, Classical, Film, Strauss, Traditional and Pop genres. Rehearsals take place in Garryduff Sports Center, Douglas on Tuesday evenings.
Members are dedicated and in addition to weekly attendance they enjoy residential and non-residential intensive weekend workshops. The orchestra gives a number of performances each year.
